BC-301: JOHN & 1,2,3 JOHN

About this course

Of the four Gospels that chronicle the life, teachings, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Gospel of John is unique in content, form, and purpose. The Eternal Word became the Incarnate Word and walked as the Son of God. John unveils the special relationship between the Father and the Son. John reveals that the Son of God walked in such unison with the Father, that He spoke only what He heard and did only what He saw from the Father. Every step the Son of God took was aligned to the Father's timing. The healings and miracles were simply an expression of such a walk abiding with the Father. The word 'abide' is a key word in all of John's writings. The believer is called to abide in Jesus, even as Jesus did with the Father. Later in his epistles, John declares that we walk as He walked. We live in Him, and our life on earth is the same as His! The Son of God unveiled to us the life sons and daughters of God are called to live. This verse-by-verse study of the Gospel of John and his three epistles will unveil the Son of God to us like never before. It will also bring to our hearts a powerful revelation of the life we are called to live as we live in Him and He in us, by His Spirit. Get ready to fall in love with Jesus all over again and to be transformed to walk like Him!

This is an instructor-led course. Recordings of classroom lectures will be released weekly. Complete the objective type questions, quizzes and other assignments that are given as you progress through the course. It is recommended that you keep up with the lectures and assignments on a weekly basis. This course starts the week of Monday August 02, 2021 and will complete on or before Friday November 26, 2021 (23:59 UTC).

What you will learn

This is a verse-by-verse study of the book of John and the three epistles of John. This study unveils to us the Son of God, the Eternal Word, the Incarnate Word, the great I AM, the brass serpent that Moses raised up, the Temple which when destroyed would be raised up in three days, the Bread of Life, the Light of the World, the Good Shepherd, the Resurrection and the Life, the Vine on whom we are the branches, the One who sent the Promise of the Father, the Comforter to empower us. He is the Son of God who authorized us with His name and sent us out even as the Father sent Him. As we abide in Him, walk in fellowship with Him, we walk as He walked and our life on this earth becomes just like His.
